About Cobscook Falls

The Cobscook Falls Property Features:

 Almost 200 acres

1.5 miles of Shorefront

70 acres of coastal wetlands

Hiking trails connected to the Reversing Falls town park

Cobscook Bay is widely recognized by conservation biologists as the premier coastal wildlife concentration side in the northeastern United States.  The area has protected high value habitat for wintering waterfowl such as black ducks, migratory shorebirds, and endangered/threatened species, including bald eagles.   This parcel has protected a keystone parcel, located in the heart of the high value conservation region.

The protected property offers great opportunities to local residents and vacationing outdoor enthusiasts for daytime use.  Recreational opportunities include hiking, bird-watching, coastal canoeing and kayaking, nature study, biological research, sport fishing, hunting, clamming, cross-county skiing and other low impact foot access.  All recreational use is encouraged to be consistent with conservation goals of protecting high value wetland, fish and wildlife habitat.

Please contact the office if you are interested in assisting with

stewardship of this  property or others.
