Ukey finishes and installs the new sign at the School end in the summer of 2008.

The Lubec shop class of 2006/2007 made the sign.

Installing in the Boardwalk

Moving the completed boardwalk sections to the site.

We would like to thank William Coffin and Sons for donating the use of their forklift!  We would also like to thank the slick operator Jackie!

We would like to thank EBS in Machias for donating the use of the truck and the operator Don for help in moving the boardwalk sections to the site!

Putting in the Gravel Trail

When complete, the trail and boardwalk will link the Lubec Consolidated School to the parking area at the end of Pleasant Street near the beach. The value of the donated time will provide needed match for a $27,500 Recreational Trails Grant that QRLT has received from the Maine Department of Conservation for the Mowry Beach project.
