QRLT Needs Volunteers

WANTED:  Carpenter, Landscaper and Laborer Volunteers for Mowry Beach trail workdays.  Even if you have a little or no experience with trail work we will train you, please volunteer today!  We are installing about 400 feet of a gravel trail and building over 200 sections of boardwalk.  If you have an interest in helping with the fun community project please email Alana or call 733-5509.  Thank you!

Volunteer to help put in the trail 

at Mowry Beach, Lubec.

Volunteering is Fun!  

 

Do you like to be outdoors?  If so we are looking for: 

  • Land Monitors – Our protected properties require ongoing monitoring each year.  If you are skilled with a map and compass or GPS (or want to learn- we’ll teach you), we welcome your volunteer efforts. 

  • Maintenance – Are you skilled with small carpentry projects or general maintenance and repairs?  We could use your skills with building signs, small structures and or building repairs we welcome your talents. 

  • Trail Maintenance – Join an energetic team that builds, maintains, and renovates paths, trails and boardwalks on Trust properties and other local protected properties.  We provide the tools if needed and the training . . . you provide the muscles and enthusiasm! 

  • Trail Monitors – Do you enjoy hiking?  Volunteers are needed to check on the condition of the trails and public access areas.  

  • Field Guides – Are you a professional or amateur naturalist and would like to share your special knowledge of the natural world with others in a small group?  Please let us know. 

  • Office Helpers 

  • Educational Aides 

  • Join a Committee

  • Offer your Specialty
